How to make your own solid shampoo?
The main components of solid shampoo are mineral or organic powders, vegetable oil, water and why not essential oils and Sodium Cocoy Isethionate which is a surfactant.

To make your own shampoo, you must first weigh the ingredients, so you need:
- 50g of TCI surfactant
- 15g of vegetable oil
- 10g of water
Then heat everything in a bain-marie for a few minutes. Mix well until smooth. Then add 25g of amla powder and mix again. Remove everything from the bain-marie and add a few drops of essential oils. Place everything in a mold and let it sit. Your solid shampoo is ready to use. Making your own shampoo means avoiding plastic waste.
What are the benefits of an organic solid shampoo?
As you will have understood, it is its practical and ecological aspect that makes solid shampoo so strong. Hundreds of millions of shampoo bottles are manufactured each year and they are not always recycled. You will therefore be choosing zero waste by making your own solid shampoo.
