This label is there to prevent any disasters on your clothes during washing, drying, or ironing. And yes, it's not just an annoying clothing label that itches or tickles you; it's your guide to ensuring a long life for your clothes.
One bad temperature and you can say goodbye to your favorite t-shirt that just shrank, for example. A clothing label will give you the right information to tell you whether the fabric is machine washable, whether you can dry it and/or iron it so as not to damage your clothes. Overall, you should pay attention to the symbols when your garment is made of different materials. In these cases, it's best to follow the instructions given for the most delicate material.
This is where the clothing label symbol comes in!
Meaning: clothing label symbol
Clothing labels always contain various care instructions: washing, drying, bleaching, ironing, and dry cleaning. But do you know how to differentiate between all these symbols?
When you see this symbol on your clothing label, it means you can put your garment in the washing machine while respecting the indicated level. When there is a line under the tub, you should wash on a synthetic cycle with a medium spin.
Regarding these clothing label symbols, if the container is crossed out you must not wash in water and if there is a hand in the container, this means that you can wash by hand, rinse and spin gently.
These clothing label symbols represent ironing. The dots correspond to the temperature of your iron. 1 dot: 110° without steam, 2 dots: 150° with steam, and 3 dots: 200°. If the symbol is crossed out, your garment should not be ironed.
The dryer
Tumble dryer symbols work on the same principle as ironing. The dots represent the temperature: 1 dot for a delicate cycle and 2 dots for a normal cycle. When the symbol is crossed out, you shouldn't put your garment in the dryer.
For the bleaching symbol, it is possible to bleach your garment as soon as you have the uncrossed triangle, with any agents. Whereas if your symbol is crossed out, it is prohibited.
After all these explanations on the meaning of the clothing label symbol, you will be a pro at maintenance and your clothes will have a long life.
