It's very simple! At home, in front of your mirror, stick out your tongue and scrape the tops with the tongue cleaner. Repeat the movement from the back of your tongue outwards. Scrape gently without forcing your tongue. You will see the white layer on your tongue diminish. Each time you repeat the movement, rinse your tongue scraper so as not to put the bacteria you removed back into your mouth.

I recommend that you use the tongue scraper every day (preferably in the morning for bad breath) and after brushing your teeth.

Don't scrape too hard, as the surface of your tongue should be delicate. If you have a sore throat, don't scrape at all so as not to irritate it more than it already is. Doing this every day will quickly get rid of your bad breath.
