What is “bio cosmetic”?

In recent years, we've all become increasingly aware of the impact we have on our planet. That's why many companies have decided to adopt the same mentality by going "clean" in one way or another.

This is the principle behind the creation of “ bio cosmetics ”!

Whether it's your mascara, hand cream, or makeup remover, every step of your daily beauty routine plays a role in pollution and mass consumption. But thanks to advances in science and the commitment of many to protecting our environment, alternatives to common pollutants have been found for cosmetic lines.

Indeed, it's now very easy to find your favorite cosmetic products while doing something positive for your planet! Since 2017, new laws have been passed to regulate organic cosmetic products to make them 100% good for everyone. A product is now considered organic cosmetic only when its composition comes from 20% organic farming and the rest of its components are made from plant products.

But stay alert because "greenwashing" is real! Brands are willing to do anything to use what can be considered a new trend, to continue to please their customers and attract new curiosity. It is therefore important to read the instructions on each product to understand its composition. If you find the words "paraben" or "silicone" written in tiny print hidden in a corner of your aloe cream, walk away because no, these products are not Ecocert certified.

Who wouldn't want to use these products? It may seem like a small, ineffective step, but far from it. If each and every one of us adopted these small daily actions, the results would be visible on a global scale.

So believe us, your skin will thank you just as much as our Blue Planet ;)
