In beauty, the emollient caprylis is recognized for these properties:
Dry, fluid oil, very fine to the touch
Very good skin absorption: penetrates quickly without leaving a greasy film
Emollient: softens and smooths the skin
Very good spread on the skin, provides a very pleasant glide to the formulas
Improves the penetration of fat-soluble active ingredients, particularly essential oils
Allows the skin to breathe naturally
Very stable to oxidation, can be heated without risk
Very good solvent for lipophilic active ingredients: allows active ingredients to be extracted during plant macerations
Uses
Use as an ingredient in your preparations:
Emulsion: production of creams and milks with a very fine feel, good glide and rapid penetration, with textures and feel similar to those of commercial cosmetics
Massage oils and balms
Care oils and oily serums
Makeup products: foundation, lipsticks, eyeshadows... for a non-greasy finish and good hold
Hair care for its non-greasy sheathing and smoothing effect
Oily plant macerates (urucum, calendula, arnica, St. John's wort, etc.)
